Full Tilt crack down on online poker bots

Reply Subscribe
Full Tilt Poker last week sent a mass e-mail to a number of players and addressed ways that the site – the second-largest in the world – is improving security. The e-mail also confirmed that several users had been using bots, which are against Full Tilt’s terms and conditions. They were banned and had funds confiscated.

The site did not state how many players were involved and how much money was illicitly won via the use of mass-multi-tabling poker bots but they did promise that all players affected would be reimbursed by Full Tilt:
“For a number of reasons, we are unable to provide additional information regarding this case, including the players involved and the game type where it occurred,” Full Tilt Poker said in the e-mail.

The investigation found that a company called Shanky Technologies was responsible for the software behind the commonly used bots. The company apologised to customers who purchased poker bots, saying that Full Tilt “quite suddenly and without warning froze all the accounts… although it tolerated the presence of bots all this time.”

Does this mean i might actually be able to win now?lol ,i have to agree with the company that create these bots because im no brainiac or wiz kid but you can find them all over the net and ive even heard of this company.so theres no reason for me to believe that security hasnt already investigated these bot companies.i suppose we should see a drop in online players now.no telling how many bots were playing in a sitting.

This will be a pretty neat thing to watch......I too am curious to see how many bots were playing in a single sit-in......especially with the huge player base that a site likke fulltilt has......can't wait to checkk out fulltilt and see if theres a difference........

I am not sure of the reasoning of the bots
or why they are considered 'cheats'

I thought they just had a certain betting pattern
that was programmed in

which, I feel you can beat, once you figure the pattern

Fulltilt did indeed refund players victimized in the bot plot. I recieved $33.00 from them with an email apologizing for the lapse in security. 😁

Wow sounds like Fulltilt is on top of a problem for a change. I play a lot of freerolls and see names that are freakishly similar. One may be sixhundredlady and the other maybe sixhundredlady7. It is possible to be different players, but just don't know. Thanks for the info. Hope I get some money back from two players that for sure where working together in a tourney I was in last week. X

The site does not allow any software that plays for you or mines any information. So bots and some tracking software is a no no. X

The fact that Full Tilt is refunding money for the Bot issue says a lot about Full Tilt.
