Well,
congrats to all that cashed last night @ Bodog:dance:
for those that did
you witnessed my downward spiral
from chipleader w/ 6 at the table
to bubbleboy:mad:
that's poker
that was the 6th tourney in a row
that I bubbled
but
I did it twice more after that
EIGHT, 8 tourneys in a row, that I bubbled
it really looked as if I was gonna hit 9
but I brought that streak to a screaching halt
when
again, I had the chip lead
this time it was massive
7 players left & top 4 got paid
With premium starting hands
& pretty good flops for me
I doubled up 4 players in a row
(that wasnt 4 consecutive hands, just the 4 I participated in)
& was suddenly 5th in chips
at that point
I had lost all interest in playing
thinking, 'How long is this gonna last?'
I decided to end it there
I just called all hands w/ nothing
-not waiting to get a premium hand-
& in 3 hands, was out in seventh
bubbleling that many times in a row
and facing another, after just having a massive chip lead
really takes the wind out of your sails
- and I did not feel like playing another hand-
there were 3 games on Friday nite & 5 on Saturday
but finally, the streak is over
if I bubble on the next tourney
well - I will just chalk it up as another starting point
but I dont plan to
for those, who dont know me
& think maybe, I play too many hands
& deserved what I got
well- thats not the case (playing too many hands)
at least normally
I guess I did play too many, in those bubble games
But I think I do, pick & choose wisely, when I play
& I am the first, to admit
that I do make mistakes, in every tourney I play,
but most times, I am able to recover from those
which I plan to do in my next tourney
GOOD LUCK EV1 😡!

Well, first, it was a pleasure to play with you again, yesterday on Bodog. Sorry to see you bubbled, but due to multitabling I missed some things -- including my sudden appearance as runner-up -- while on "auto-pilot" so didn't see your slide.
But bubbling a string like that. . . wow. :crying
Second, yes, when I run into a streak of bad luck like that -- you just seem to be doubling up short stacks, can't beat a dead stack, running card dead -- I sometimes find myself thinking the same way, "let's just get it over with" and toss it in with any decent looking hand -- and sometimes any 2 cards might be decent looking. It's not the greatest attitude, but we're not really talking WSOP levels of money either, so time investment -- which has it's own value -- figures into the equation. . .
Good luck in your future games making it inside the bubble again. . .the air's much better in there. . . [/FONT]

What made it tough for me, they were all forum games (but 1)
the other,
playersPoker just gave me 50 gold chips
& I spent half on a satellite & bubbled there
but
TODAY IS A NEW DAY
I entered in 3 Sng
placed twice & won one
so, I am back w/ some confidence
I just couldn't handle, seeing that streak go to 9
I am not a superstitious man
I dont believe in luck (the superstitious kind)
luck just happens - good & bad (& in streaks)
and it is an event type of thing
hope 2 play in todays tourney
have some things sorta scheduled near game time
good luck ev1

Been there done that mj nice too see ya get right back on that table and cashin again we all have cold streaks or bublicius times just got muddle thru .
actually did some good in the long run since
it has changed my play somewhat
use to be
when sitting at the final table
and a very large stack:
1) I would automatically call any shortstack
while holding any 2 cards (if nobody else would)
that is now under new construction
2) I would limp in (most of the time) w/ marginal cards
but not anymore, because,
when my marginal cards, catch part of the flop
normally, my opponent has me dominated
so I stick to premium hands (like I use to long ago)
the payoff is much sweeter
3) I was multi-tabling more & more
although I do like to have two games running
that'll be my limit
when playing four games
I was losing four games
when playing one, I will normally cash
but I like the idea of having a secondary, 'not important' game running
on the side, so, if during my important game, i suffer a bad beat
I'll take it out on the 'not important game' (if necessary)
the 'not important game'
is only a game from somewhere
where I normally dont play
maybe, an open freeroll, that is overloaded w/ entries
I dont have any real focus on it
all my focus, is on the primary game
it is just there as an outlet
when playing a MTT - players come, go & return
so knowing their play, is important
multi-tabling can hamper the play, of the important game
