Does this mean they will have different "skins" like Cake and other networks where dozens of little rooms will have a few hundred players adding to the main Bodog site?

When did this happen?
I've noticed that now the freeroll tables are always short and there is a pause
after a freeroll starts, like the software is playing catch up.

I have noticed that pause too anyone know what that is i thought it was rearanging the tables filling them up becuse new people get sat at the tables and then it starts again

If by "short" you mean less than 9 players at the start of play, that is to allow room for players registering late. It is also the reason for that long gap around the end of the first level when they break tables & reseat players. I've been reseated up to 3 times during that break in action before my next hand. . .

I've never been particularly impressed with Bodog's software. There seem to be a lot of hiccups and a lot of lag in the action. Very annoying. . .

It's even crashed on me twice when DEEP in the middle of their $500 freerolls. Fortunately, neither time pushed me out of the money, but can't tell whether I would've won more or less if the software hadn't gone belly up. . .

I look forward to this new network, I play on Bodog all the time.

I think they have the best FR out of all the other poker sites.
I wonder how many more people will play there with the new network?

Bodog does have, IMO, better freerolls than the BIG 2 and some others -- direct money, bigger prize pool, better odds to cash -- but don't run as many as the other rooms. DoylesRoom & PokerStars make you jump through a hoop to get to their freeroll money -- read: qualifier tournaments -- with the 4-figure prize pools. FTP runs more frequent freerolls, but smaller prize pools and lesser odds of cashing. But PokerStars and FullTilt also run a variety of games for their freerolls, so you don't have to try to cash in only on NLHE. . .

Unfortunately most players seem to flock over towards the top 3 largest networks such as Poker Stars, Full Tilt and Cake Networks Inc. Bodog will have their hands full trying to sign new player accounts considering the limitations of cash game selection ( players that is ). I'd very much like to see them succeed in the future as one the top 5 online poker rooms.

I like bodog and enjoyed their beginner sit and go's but why this expansion to a bodog branded network? ...more sites ...more licensing fee's ...hopefully more players ....less capital spent by bodog... a sign of weakness?

They have added late registration and is probably why there is a pause after the start of FRs while players are seated.

Yeah, the hiccup at the first blind raise is annoying but I have learned to cash in and take a pee break at that point. What really kills me is that they started a new service fee of credit card deposits, 20 bucks a shot! It cost me 40 to play 20 bucks, that ain't right damn it! lol. But otherwise I enjoy BoDog, nice & streamlined in format and look.
