Bodog check slightly more

Reply Subscribe
I've withdrawn twice recently and the checks are always some odd cents more than my withdraw.

Last month withdraw 150 check was 150.50 or some odd cents

this month withdraw 200 check was 200.86

Not complaining at all or anything. Just wondered if anyone knows why the checks are pennies more than my with draw.

That is weird. . . :1orglaugh

Interest on the money between the time you ask for the check & the time they actually send it? Actually, I have no freakin' clue but, as you said, can't complain about a few drops of gravy. . .

Checks come amazingly quick. With in a week. Shipped my fed-ex bodog updates you with messages as to when it was processed. And also provides you with a tracking number to follow up on. Don't get the extra cents they give you. If anything i could understand them taking a small amount per check. You can only withdraw one check a month, more than that they charge you.

The same thing happened to me and also they did not take out the $15 dollars for the check fee. I thought it was just me but I am glad someone else had the same thing.

The amount will vary depending on the exchange rate between countries as bodo sends their funds through a canadian bank to NY, they account for the difference between canada and US dollar....... nothing major, I would advise letting the money sit untill u win big then making a withdrawal, 3000max is the amount they will allow u to withdraw each time.....

Bodog does not have a check fee. At least for US players anyway.

Didn't think about the dollar exchange. Thought that the exchange would be more significant that .43% which is what i calculated it to be, but makes sense.

Letting money sit?

This is all relative to what you call a big win, actually have been having some bigger wins due to upping the stakes of tourneys i play, and making final tables.

What is the point of letting the money sit and makeing no interest? As opposed to withdrawing a bit every month and making interest. All though it isn't much at a bank.

Posted this on another site and someone suggested that the odd amounts is due to trying to trick the banks so to speak.

In other words the odd amounts make the bank think its not from a gambling site. The person also stated that this is common practice at poker sites.

Not sure which is right, but the exchange rate thing sounds very good too.

Sounds like a little of both.

Dirtpull,

I am not sure why they do that either because I withdrew 500 dollars becore and I believe my totally amount was 501 or something close to that and to be honest I am not sure why it works that way either. You are right though the one great thing about bodog is that you get your withdraws really quick I got mine in 4 days. It came UPS or Fedex Ican't remember which one.... crazy stuff... Best of luck

It must be the dollar exchange. Seams the more you with draw the more pennies you get. If it was to throw off banks there would be no need for extra pennies for bigger withdraws.

Hey guys, I talked to the MMGG financial controller and can confirm this is just a currency conversion rounding error in the favor of the player. MMGG also wanted me to say thanks for playing with Bodog.com. 😁
