I think very small stakes sit and gos and keep playing the freerolls. If you are very patient and disciplined, you can play the small stakes micro tables, but be careful about what you raise with or call. Fish will bet with anything and beat you on the river in a lot of cases. Wait for a real premium hand, never go all in with AK or other connectors in those micros unless you know your opponents. They'll kill you with deuces.

Why would the "hit and run" style then going to another table work any better that just staying on the same table ?

Yea take the profit, and play again later kinda thing? I know they call it rat holing, but its smart for someone with a low bankroll trying to build it

good advice for a cash table & small roll!

my advice is:

"what got you that roll?"
MTT
find a low buyin
be disciplined
and watch it grow

staying at a cash table,
one bad hand, can make that roll dwindle quick

unless you have a very good track record at cash tables-
just stay away from em

SnGs can eat a BR quick too. Don't move up in stakes if you are having a bad day to try to get your money back. Stick with the game you find that you like the most and have the most success at and stick with it. If the cards are not coming then take some time off.

Good bankroll management is more important than playing poker well, as far as building a bankroll goes :-)

The first thing to do is to establish a definition of what your bankroll is: it’s money you can afford to lose. Don’t put any money into your poker bankroll that you can’t comfortably part with if worst comes to worst.
