quitting while you're ahead strategy

I know, I know....how many times have we all been ahead and then we get greedy trying to "win a little more before cashing out" only to lose it all...or worse yet....that darned REVERSE WITHDRAWAL BUTTON!

The best piece of advice I learned was when you are ahead and have cashed out at a casino, SIMPLY UNINSTALL THE PROGRAM during the period of time that is required before the casino will submit the withdrawal! i did this the other night at a new casino I tried.....and am so glad I did. Otherwise, I would have been tempted to reverse that withdrawal.

**Of course, I would suggest you wait to uninstall until you have received a confirmation email with the tracking # of your withdrawal from the casino. Fortunately for me, I received that immediately .

That's an interesting tip.

This reminds me of a comedian who said "I only play with X amount of money, and when that's gone, I get another X amount." :1orglaugh

I agree with you so much. What i like to do is take a percentage of my winnings and gamble with that. i will not gamble with all my winnings.

I totally agree with you. But its very difficult to really apply it. I mean you can't quit easily when you are winnig good money.

I have done that plenty of times. I make a withdrawl, and while it is being processed I have cancelled the process and used the money. Fortunetly I didn't lose any, but I also didn't win any. I just put another withdrawl request in again. I really like the post, never thought about uninstalling the program to keep me from doing that:thumbsup

Yeah but if you're really addicted, what's to keep you from reinstalling? Just have to have the fortitude to withdrawal and move on!

Why are you uninstalling? because having asked for a withdrawal you then cancel it and play the money and lose it?
I can't believe what I am reading, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

You deserve to lose it if you are this weak.

I uninstall the program, but I keep it as a link on my favorites and put a --- sign on it to remind me I have now have a zero account balance there.
I put no sign if I have opened an account but no money has ever been in the account.
I put a +++ sign next to the accounts that have money in them.
I put a --- sign if I lose all the cash in that account.
So at a glance I can see where to play.
Let me go look...
I have 6 accounts with +++ beside them so I can go play there .
I have 5 accounts with --- beside them so no playing there since I lost it all. (Usually casinos with a no deposit $100 freeplay and I lost it all)
I have 9 accounts with no sign, so these I have opened an account but no money deposited. I would consider these first on my next deposit.

The only time I have ever uninstalled PDC from my computer was when I went completely bust after building up a great bankroll. I thought to myself: I am NEVER playing again-yeh right haha.
