China block unhealthy Internet Sites

Reply Subscribe
China is attempting to block Internet access to online casinos, pornography, political dissent, and anything else the government arbitrairly considers unhealthy. But material continues to leak through the country's filters and network of spies, and a group of agencies led by the Ministry for Public Security blames Google.

Chinese officials alluded to both Google and the Chinese search engine Baidu as contributing to the problem. The Ministry and the affiliated government agencies said the censorship was necessary as they promised to *purify the Internet's cultural environment and protect the healthy development of minors.*
