I think I might be a little claustrophobic but if that little tube came down to get me out of the mine? I'd close my eyes and enjoy the ride.

Amazing group of men. They are all heros now and rightfully so. Every man came up clean shaven and ready to rejoin their loved ones.

Its a great story for mankind. I hope they all have lives that continue to inspire their fellow man for the rest of their days. The long term adjustment may be much tougher than the first few weeks.

Liz Bradley spoke to Akamai spoke to CNN about how traffic on the internet shifts radically during events like this: "We consider it pretty significant. Overall we definitely see a trend toward people going online to consume news when these kinds of events happen."
What made this event so massive in terms of traffic was the sheer duration: it was streamed on news sites 24/7 and people were keeping track of it through mobile phones and other means. A CNN spokesperson said that their website served up 5.5 million live video streams between Tuesday at 3PM and Wednesday night, far above the typical viewership.
