The theatrical release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may be rated PG-13, but Warner Bros. is apparently preparing an R-rated home entertainment version of the film.
FilmRatings-com has revealed an R-rated “Ultimate Edition” of Batman v Superman, which includes "sequences of violence.”
With the film’s darker tone, it stands to reason Warner Bros. may have been influenced to release a more violent version of Batman v Superman -- perhaps in part thanks to the success of the record-breaking opening for the R-rated Deadpool.
