I agree. They just need the right encouragement to get things back the way they were.

New York Congressman Tim Bishop is the latest to sign up as a co-sponsor the Barney Frank’s proposal to regulate the online gambling industry. This brings the total co-sponsors of the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act (IGREA) to 47.

:thumbsup

(IGREA is one of several proposals that are being proposed that would address the U.S. stance on online gambling and bring the U.S. closer to World Trade Organization compliance as well as bringing in the potential of billions of dollars in revenues and licensing fees).

I believe this bill will pass as everywhere is looking for ways to create jobs, generate more in taxes, etc. The ability for companies to form online sites in the US would affect the revenue stream that has slowed since our economy has needed the stimulus measures that have been taken. It won't be long that lawmakers realize the gains that can be made through online poker. Otherwise, our money will be lining other countries' budgets.
