This years world cup will not feature quite a few nations that we’re to seeing including the main ones like Italy and Netherlands which is still absolutely shocking that they didn’t make it, but also teams like Chile, Ivory Coast, Ghana, USA won’t participate. All of these nations were expected to qualify and to do good things, but they’re not even in it. But hey that’s why they do qualifying campaigns, if you don’t qualify then you don’t deserve it. However these nations will be replaced by some unusual names such as Panama and Iceland, yes the little Iceland have continued their glory and have qualified for the world cup. Furthermore you have teams that have made it to the world cup for the first time in over a decade such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt led by Salah, Morocco and Tunisia who will all be willing to show the world that they’re not just there to be there, but they’re there to make noise.
If you look at the history of FIFA world cup, the team with most cups are Brazil with 5, but Germany will be looking to equal that as they have 4 themselves and by winning this year could tie Brazil, furthermore Italy have won 4, Argentina and Uruguay have 2 while Spain England and France have won one each. The all time scorer of the World Cup is Miroslav Klose with 16, Ronaldo follows up with 15 and that record could be in danger this year if Thomas Muller caught an insane goal scoring run and scored 8. This storied tournament has made stars such as Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, Klose and many more and it will be looking to do the same this year. Will we see some new records get broken or maybe we’ll see a first time world cup winner. All we have to do it just wait, enjoy the tournament and we will find our come 15th July.
THE FIFA WORLD CUP STARTS ON THE 14TH JUNE WITH THE OPENING GAME BETWEEN RUSSIA AND SAUDI ARABIA AT 4 PM UK TIME.
